Toddlers classes

Camps

“Both boys play in the South Coast Youth Band (Jonathan on trumpet, Sammy on saxophone) and perform regularly, including marching in the Goleta Holiday Parade last weekend. They're also both in their school band and school chorus, and have participated in musical theater camps every summer - often with solos! Next year Jonathan will enter the La Colina advanced band, and Sammy will take on clarinet in SCYB along with sax.

I know that their early music start had an enormous impact on their current musical lives. Music activities always have the highest priority in our home, and that goes back to those early baby, toddler preschool music classes at Kindermusik. They certainly carry those fundamentals through their lives now, but most importantly, they gained love and appreciation for creating music - including how much hard work it can take to get a song just right, while keeping the joy of music in their heart.

Additionally, I wanted to thank you on behalf of my toddler-mom self all those years ago. You provided a safe and enriching place for our babies and little kids to experiment with music, try new things, and socialize. It was a pleasure to see them grow in an environment where they were truly valued and loved for being themselves. Thank you again for all you did for my boys, and for what you continue to do for countless other future musicians.”

Pre-K Classes

 “I first enrolled my son in Kindermusik when he was a year old. Even at that early stage, it was obvious that he loved music and Kathy’s classes were so much fun – singing, dancing, drumming and clapping. Kathy is one of the most gifted teachers I have ever come across; she is infectiously passionate and enthusiastic about what she does, and children respond to her like she is the Pied Piper....My son continued the program with Kathy on and off for around seven years before finally deciding that he wanted to learn the Viola. He now regularly participates in the Junior Strings group (part of the SB Youth Symphony). I have no doubt that the years spent with Kathy helped build his musical foundation and contributed significantly to his interest in music.”

Toddler’s classes

We have been attending Kindermusik with Kathy since our daughter was 1 1/2 years old. She absolutely loves it! Not only does she enjoy singing the songs and reading the stories, but we feel she truly appreciates all the different styles of music that come from this class! Whether it is a country song, ballad, or lullaby, she is learning that music comes in all shapes and sizes. As parents, we have seen our daughter get so excited when a particular song comes on- and she demonstrates hand movements or gestures that she learned in class. Kathy and her team do a wonderful job of incorporating other aspects of fun and play- with an air log, parachute, and towel rides…they keep the toddler-crowd entertained and also plenty of variety so that each week it is something different and new. We are always pleased with how clean everything is kept, and how friendly and professional the entire staff is! Thank you, Kathy!”
